How to open older databases in version 7?

Send us your project and we will be happy to upgrade it ready for the latest version. Or you can perform the simple upgrade detailed below.

NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE THE VERY LATEST UPDATE OF YOUR VERSIONS BEFORE DOING THE UPGRADE.

Importing into version 7 (from version 5 or 6)

Version 7 can import data from version 5 or version 6 projects.

1, When exporting from version 5 or 6 please CHECK the follow options first, Tools Menu/Options/Events... 'Export/Import dates using universal format'

2, When exporting from version 5 or 6 please UNCHECK the follow options first, Tools Menu/Options/Events... 'Export/Import event duration'

3, From version 6 select 'Export ALL data' from the Data/Export menu, or for version 5 select 'Export ALL data for Version 6' from the Data/Export menu. Then start a new project in version 7 and import the data you just exported.

Importing into version 7 (from version 4 or below)

It is possible to import older project data into version 7 but a few steps are required. You must first install version 5 then import your project data from version 4 into version 5 first then you can follow the steps above.

Note: Due to the security changes, once a project is imported the administrator account password will be reset to the word system, all other user passwords and options will need to be reset.

You can download the latest version 4, 5 or 6 from our download page.
